For Anne his older brother Philippe has always been his hero, role model, the child playing with it and understood without words.

But when Anne is seven years his mother explains that Philippe is special is not like other children, is a disease with no cure and will always need the support of all to have around.

The laughter of my brother is a true story, the author tells percent veit pages during his early life in an idyllic family, like his brother I was all for it until seven years later all discover a problem during delivery Philippe is not and never will be a normal child.

"Could not something similar. Mama is wrong. The world can not collapse like that!
But then it all starts. When your wings are broken. And my dreams with them. "

Anne Icart account as was his life from the children's laughter, through the confusion to acceptance mature teenager that his brother will always be special. you always have to be with him giving his support and love in the hardest moments. And as society turns its back sometimes just for being different.
At the same time know how they feel the parents of both .

Despite being a short novel to me loved it. in so few pages I felt sad about the situation of Philippe's own Anne, admired as a loving family can get everything out and ashamed of how society can get to treat a person with mental difficulties.

I think it's a novel worth reading and certainly make you think.
